Turn TIFF files into WebP right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Good to know
Quality starts at 82. If a site has an upload limit, set a target size and the converter finds the highest quality that fits.
About the formats
TIFF is used by scanners, print workflows and archives. Files are often huge and browsers can't display them.
WebP is Google's web format. It handles both photos and transparent graphics and is usually smaller than JPG or PNG at the same visual quality. Every current browser supports it, though some older desktop apps don't.
Questions
How do I convert TIFF to WebP?
Drop your TIFF files on the box above, or tap it to pick them. WebP is already selected, so conversion starts right away. Download each file, or grab them all as a ZIP.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding and encoding run in your browser with WebAssembly. Open your browser's network panel while converting and you will see no image data leave the page.
How many images can I convert at once?
Up to 500 files per batch, each up to 256 MB. Download them one by one, as a ZIP, or save them straight into a folder in Chrome and Edge.
Is camera data like GPS location kept?
No. Output files are written fresh from the pixels, so EXIF data such as GPS position, camera model and date is dropped. Photos are rotated upright first, so nothing ends up sideways.
